A couple of years ago I spent few days in Genoa, a city not far from Milan, but which I did not know except for some occasional quick visits. Genoa is a wonderful city, with a preserved medieval center, which I think is the biggest in Europe. The city has one of the most important harbor of the Mediterranean sea, has old streets full of magnificent buildings, ancient churches and imposing arcades, like these of Via XX Settembre that I wanted to paint in this watercolor.
